Sushi Calories
Sushi calories have confused many people because most people don’t know how many there are. Sushi is a chinese form of serving rice. The rice is mixed with a touch of vinegar and sugar and is then combined with vegetables, fish (cooked and raw) and other foods to make a combination that is both tasty and visually appealing.
The amount ofcalories there are depend on what is in your sushi. It also depends on what kind of sushi you are eating, and what roll it was put in before it was cut into pieces. The amount of calories that are in your favorite sushi and the sushi calories by roll are as follows.
First off, you have your Avocado Roll, which initially contains 140 calories. After that you have the California Roll (made popular IN California, obviously) which has 255 calories. There’s the Kappa Maki (cucumber roll) which has 136 calories. Then you have the Spicy Tuna Roll which has 290 calories, the Shrimp Tempura Roll (290 calories), the Salmon and Avocado Roll (304 calories), the Magura Roll (184 calories), and the Unagi and Avocado Roll (372 calories).
There are also a couple other things you may want to know about the rules such as their grams in fat. Here’s a listing of that. Avocado Roll (5.7), California Roll (7), Kappa Maki (0), Spicy Tuna Roll (11), Shrimp Tempura Roll (21), Salmon and Avocado Roll (8.7), Maguro Roll (2), and the Unagi and Avocado Roll (17).
Then there are always the amount of Sushi calories that are in what goes into the actual sushi. However, there is so much to list in that aspect that I am only going to choose a select few to talk about. The amount of sushi calories that are in Nigiri Sushi and Sashimi Sushi are as follows. The actual name will be listed first and then the type of fish will be listed in parentheses.
Nirgiri Sushi:
Amaebi (sweet shrimp) contains 60 calories, Anago (conger eel) contains 63 calories, Awabi (abalone) contains 45 calories, Buri (yellowtail) contains 51 calories, Hamach (young yellowtail) contains 51 calories, Hirame (flounder) contains 43 calories, Hokkigai (surf clam) contains 51 calories, Hotategai (giant scallop) contains 43 calories, and Ika (squid) contains 43 calories, Ikura (salmon roe) contains 19 calories, Iwashi (sardine) contains 59 calories, Katsuo (skipjack, bonito) contains 29 calories, Kisu (whiting) contains 24 calories, Kohada (gizzard shad) contains 19 calories, Maguro (tuna (bluefin)) contains 40 calories, Mirugai (geoduck) contains 20 calories.
Again that is just a few parts of the sushi that there is. There is a lot of variety of sushi out there and I can only list a few forms. There’s Chirashizushi, Inarizushi, Makizushi, and many others.
However, I hope this has been a good guide for the average reader. It’s now up to you to use this guide to your advantage the next time you plan on making sushi and need a guide on sushi calories .
